Hello everyone,

I am experiementing with importing spherical datasets into IMAlign and I was wondering if anyone had any guidlines or reccomendations when doing this get the cleanest image.  I am pretty much a novice when it comes to the scherical datasets, so any advice will be helpful.  I was show how to do it once, but I dont know the reason behind any of the settings, so it doesnt seem to apply for the current scans that I am trying to import.  Right now, I am working with FLS files from a Photon 80 demo.  If anyone is willing to help, please let me know what other infor you would need to help me out.  I could always upload the actual FLS files too.

Thanks in advance.

There are a lot more settings for importing spherical datasets than for "normal" datasets!  Make sure your PolyWorks version is the most current patch, as some changes have been made recently.

I have a nice flash video that explains most of the settings, called "Import Spherical Dataset", which comes in the Survey Learning Guide.  The Survey Learning Guide can be downloaded from
http://www.innovmetric.com/TechnicalSupportZone/MainTemplate.aspx?sectionId=5&params=id=3,cat=2,mode=list;
on the Technical Support Zone, under Tutorials > Surveying.

I can also email you the individual video.  Good luck!
