Customized Report Layout

I am new to using customized report layouts.  Does anyone have any good tips, or even any layouts that they would like to share?

I used to have previously used the export to excel option inside a macro that I wrote, but I think with the new surface feature I am going to try to incorporate the reporting options.  I am a novice with the reporting options, so no suggestion is too small.

Try creating an autoformated report with the default layout, customize the background of both the title and first page (adding your logo, motto, name it!), delete all items (tables and snapshots) from the report and save it on the disk somewhere.

You can then set that saved layout as a template.
