Downloaded it today.  I think it should prove to be very useful scanning in the field when it's hard to see a laptop screen that NEVER at the angle you need.

Thoughts?

I have used it extensively on my iPad while scanning with my FAROArm connected via Bluetooth.  It's great because I can just leave my laptop at my desk.

My main use for Talisman is with my iPod Touch to control my laser tracker, it's amazing how much time it saves me--no more walking back and forth from my computer to the work area.

I have used it for probing. It does save time going back and forth. I am using a ScanShark on a Romer Absolute Arm. I cannot get it to connect while scanning though. My guess is that I have a conflict while the scanner is hooked up to the LAN and trying to use wifi for the Talisman function at the same time.

Has anyone else been able to use both LAN and wifi connection at the same time?

I am currently using Talisman on an iPad with the Faro Arm.  I love the ability to walk away from the computer and scan.  I'm only connected thru the LAN via WiFi to the iPad, works beautifully. Unfortunately for Android users I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel.
