What happened to scanned data?

Ok I am scanning using IMAlign with a Perceptron ScanShark. No matter whaat default profile setting (ie. MatteMetal, ShinyMetal) the scan looks great as I am scanning. However, once I click the "End Scan" Button, more than 3.4 of all scanned data has disappeared.

How can I keep 100% I have been working on a tiny 10" Brake Booster for 2 day?!?!?!?!?!?

Double check your units in IMAlign. Perhaps you are using settings for metric, but scanning in inches.

Your may want to check your Line Scan Options. Under Surface Scan Filtering look at the Max edge Length. Should be set to 4.0,  the Interpolation steps should be set to .4 and the Max Angle should be 75.0 Also check the filtering the Max Point to Point should be set to 4.0 You can also try turning the filtering off all together. I hope this helps! Jeff

What results do you get if you scan into IMInspect?

I havent tried to scan into IMInspect ye but will do that next.
I scanned in Scanworks and imported to IMAlign, got the same result. Now back to default settings luckily.

Jeff

Did you try turning the filtering off all together?

Mate you're either going too fast with the laser for your plug-in settings (try reducing the point spacing to 0.3mm and the max edge length to 3mm. The SIM filter should be set at 3mm too), or maybe the frequency isn't set correctly in Scanworks? As you know it should be set at 30Hz, whatever material you're scanning. As a plan b, try scanning in Scanworks itself, just to check that maybe that you don't have a trigger / controller issue.
