Can someone please remind me what the acceptable max error is for the laser calibration to the sphere. i'm thinking less than or equal to .015

I forget the firm numbers, but that is what I shoot for.

But you should probably specify what scanner you are using  ;)

perceptron scanshark. i am finally getting to the point that i can produce some decent models. i lose some curvature detail sometimes when i get into a hurry to finish one, but i'm not producing these for customers, just practicing.

If I remember correctly it was .023 or .025 for the V4 and it was a little less for the V5. I have been using .023 I don't know if there is anything in the documentation or the videos (C:\Program Files\Perceptron\ScanWorks 5.4) but you could look. Please let us know if anyone finds it documented anywhere. Thanks!

We use the V4 and per the training manual provided at my ROMER hosted training the acceptable sphere calibration numbers are:

Average Error < .045 micron
Maximum Error < .150 micron
