i am inclined to think that you cannot create 2D drawings using polyworks as a stand alone. would someone please correct me if i'm wrong. what is the process for getting to a 2D drawing from a model created in polyworks? must you import into cad, and go from there?

Jeff

Have you tried the sketch creation in V12?

Homer-Jay

no, i am going to look in the tech support zone right now, and see if i can download v12 yet.

Homer-Jay

i dnt see v12 yet in the "new releases" section of the innovmetric tech support zone. i'm going to call them and see whats up

Homer-Jay

well i don't have the pre-release of v12, i will have to wait till october i guess. so sad

If you have current support and you email InnovMetric they will send you the link to download and password for the pr-release. You will have to get a new ImKey for V12 also.

well i emailed them and they sent me the pre-release. yay. i'm sure i'm the only one that didn't know this, but you can do some limited 2D stuff in v11 using cross sections, and dimmensioning them. i suppose it's kind of a moot point now, but thats what i did
