I've been having some trouble getting measurements extracted from comparison points lately. The process where I'm at has always been to import points as measurement features from an .iges file. From these point we create Surface Comparison Points linked to a surface model. Sometimes all the points will be measured, and I will be able to create a report from this; other times it will tell me that measurement points cannot be extracted. This occurs even if I have a Data Color Map showing my scan data is close to my model.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you could help me try to figure out this issue, or if there may be a better way to go about doing this I would love to hear it (I just need to end up with a report comparing scan data to points imported from an .iges file.)

Thank you in advance

That's a fine way of doing it, but there are a dozen or more reasons why a particular cmp pt wouldn't solve. Can you offer any more info about the ones that won't solve? Or perhaps upload the project somewhere? Even screenshots could help diagnose this.

I found that a lot of the points were just too far from my comparison point, but along my model's surface (probably scanned a little too hastily). When I changed the max reference angles it was able to solve.
