Running macro from excel

Has anyone played with writing macros from excel. I was looking at the examples that come with polyworks and could not figure out how to pull the open iminspect project name. Here is the example I was looking at.
C:\Program Files\InnovMetric\PolyWorks 11.0 (32-bit)\goodies\PolyWorksSDK\samples\applications\IMInspect\VBAExcel\VBABlockInspection\VBABlockInspection.xls

Does anyone know how to get the open IMinspect file name from an excel macro?
