Title: Hard to Scan Surfaces
Post by: BRYANB on October 11, 2012, 10:24:19 AM
What have others found to be the best options to coat or spray items with that will help the laser to pick up surfaces?(using V12.0.015 Quantum) High reflectivity Did not help and neither has the Auto Adjustment in the scan settings These are High Gloss small plastic parts.

Any suggestions .

Thanks

I have sprayed developer on machined parts.  It doesnt add much thickness to the part and comes off.

Sorry for not knowing but what is "Developer"  will it stick to plastic?

I use Developer a lot on plastic and it works well. We have parts that are clear or some that are chromed and must be sprayed. It does not take a lot of developer to make the scanner pickup the surface. Jeff

Never try the dykem before, but i also apply developer or white contrast paint and it works.
