Title: V12
Post by: Kris23 on October 06, 2011, 05:10:39 AM
Saw the video of the new features for V12 and looks good. Love the mobile device feature, Talisman.
Anyone know when it is going to be released?

It costs nothing, so long as you have a valid maintenance agreement with Innovmetric. If you have let that agreement expire then the cost to reinstate it varies greatly by what modules you have purchased.

You can view some info on version 12 here:

It depends on your definition of "huge" is. I can't quote current pricing, but I know a full-blown seat of PolyWorks Inspector & Modeler+NURBS used to be around $4,000 for a 1 year support contract. If your support contract has been expired for several years, then yeah, it could get pretty pricey.

I'm running 16gb memory with a quad-core multi-thread processor and all modules are constantly utilizing all eight cores and a ton of memory.

v12 is worth every penny. v10 to v11 wasn't a huge deal. v9 to v10 was an amazing improvement. v11 to v12 is similar to that; it's just so much better in many ways.
